Unboxing and Using Your Headset

Items Needed

  • Setup Your Morpheus XR User Profile & Create Your Avatar
  • Your Mobile Device: prior to unboxing your headset, you will need to download and setup the Meta Quest App onto your mobile device using these instructions.
  • WiFi & Password: you will need to connect your headset to your WiFi network (home/personal strongly recommended) and will need the name of your network and password.

Step 1: 

When you receive your headset, it will have approx. 40-50% charge.   We recommend that you fully charge your unit prior to setting it up and prior to each use. Remove plastic, pull-strips (if present) that electrically connect the batteries in the controllers before you start. (see below)

Step 2:

Unbox your Meta Quest 2 and please retain the box and all items shown in the picture below for storage and future shipping.

Notes:

    • The headset should not be stored where the lenses can be exposed to excessive light or sunshine.
    • The black plastic ring is a glasses spacer that can be essential for eyeglass users.  This video clip will show you how to use the spacer.

Step 3:

Begin in a seated position. Turn the headset On by pressing and holding the small button on the right of the headset and follow the prompts in the headset to connect to your WiFi network and complete setup. The headset will need to update its software which will take approximately 10 minutes depending on the internet connection. You can remove the headset during this time.
